Consulting

A straight answer about your stack, in two weeks.

Most audits produce a document nobody acts on because it ranks forty findings equally. We deliver a ranked list with a recommendation attached to each line, and we tell you which ones we would skip.

What’s included

Concrete deliverables, not capability statements. Anything not on this list is out of scope until we agree otherwise in writing.

  • Stack inventory: every tool, its owner, its cost, and whether anything depends on it
  • Funnel teardown from first touch to closed revenue, with the drop-offs quantified
  • Data audit: what is tracked, what is trusted, and where the two disagree
  • Interviews with four to eight people on your side, including the ones who work around the system
  • A findings document written in plain language, not a slide deck
  • A ranked backlog with effort, impact, and a recommendation on each item
  • A ninety-minute readout with your team, recorded

Scope, and how we price it

Every engagement is scoped and quoted before any build starts. The Map phase produces a ranked list of what to do; the Plan phase turns the part you approve into a fixed scope, a fixed number, and named owners. You see the figure before you commit to the work it pays for.

We do not quote from a rate card, because the same service costs very different amounts depending on how much of your stack already works. What we will do on a first call is tell you the rough order of magnitude, so nobody spends a second call finding out we are the wrong size for each other.

You can stop after Map or after Plan. Both are complete deliverables, priced on their own, and useful even if the build goes to someone else.

How we do it

  1. Map

We inventory the stack, pull the funnel numbers, and read your existing reporting. We interview the people who use the systems daily, not only the people who bought them. Everything gets written down before anyone offers an opinion.

  2. Plan

We rank what we found by impact against effort and mark the items we would not do. Each recommendation names an owner and a rough cost. You get a plan you could hand to any vendor, including one that is not us.

  3. Build

Consulting engagements often stop here, and that is a legitimate outcome. If you continue, the backlog becomes the build scope with no re-discovery. Nothing is re-scoped from scratch.

  4. Run

Some clients keep us on a quarterly cadence to re-audit after changes land. That is a half-day per quarter, not a retainer. It exists so the findings document does not go stale.

What we need from you

  • Read access to your analytics, CRM, ad accounts, and any BI tool
  • One decision-maker who can approve the ranked list
  • Roughly three hours per week from your side for two weeks, mostly interviews
  • Honest answers about what is not working, including politically awkward ones

Questions we get asked

What if the audit says our current agency is doing fine?

Then we write that down and send an invoice for the audit. We have delivered that finding before. An audit that always concludes "hire us" is a sales document, not an audit.

Can you audit systems you did not build?

That is the normal case. We work in whatever you already have. If we do not know a platform we will say so before the engagement starts rather than learning on your budget.

Do we have to buy the build afterward?

No. Map and Plan are priced and delivered as complete engagements. Roughly a third of audit clients build with someone else, and the plan is written so that is possible.

How is this different from a free assessment?

A free assessment is scoped to produce a proposal. This is scoped to produce a decision, which means we spend time on findings that lead nowhere commercially for us.

Who actually does the interviews?

The people who will do the work if you continue. There is no research team handing notes to a partner who presents them.

Thirty minutes, no deck. Bring the thing that’s stuck and we’ll tell you how we’d approach it, whether or not you hire us.
